Experience:

• The ideal candidate must possess a BSc in Agriculture /Genetics/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology with an MS in Genetics and Plant Breeding /Horticulture/ Crop Physiology/ Botany/ Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Entomology/ Plant Pathology/ Seed Technology/ Agricultural Extension with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or a Second Class/ Division (or equivalent) in all academic examinations from any Govt. approved reputed university

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)

• Age, education, and experience criteria may be relaxed for highly potential candidates

• PhD in Plant Science will be an advantage

• Have knowledge in plant biology and core molecular techniques (e.g., DNA extraction, PCR).

• Have hands-on experience with basic laboratory tools (pipettes, centrifuges, gel documentation systems) and basic computer skills for data entry.

• Have to be dedicated, sincerity, honesty, and an ability to work under stressful or high-volume situations.

• Able to adjust in new environment and communication

• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging environments

• Perform DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, genotyping, and other molecular techniques.

• Assist to prepare biological samples from diverse crops (rice, maize, vegetables) for genetic purity testing and diversity analysis.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Molecular Biology Laboratory to ensure a smooth daily workflow

• Prepare reagents, buffers, and media required for routine molecular assays

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Report stock shortages to the Assistant Manager to initiate timely procurement requests and avoid research delays.

• Properly handle and dispose of chemical and biological waste according to standard protocols.

• Keep record accurately of raw experimental data, sample logs, and inventory updates in lab notebooks or computer programs.

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

• Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
