Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc Engineering in EEE/ Mechanical from reputed university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 8 to 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for overall purchasing and procurement related activities at large combined cycle power generation plant under the supervision of O&M contractor.
∎ To maintain the liaison with foreign suppliers, shipping companies, Banks, Insurance companies, Labor suppliers, Customs, and other related government organizations.
∎ To ensure the optimum price sourcing for items or services from local and foreign sources required for power generation plant.
∎ To ensure compliance for procurement & sourcing process.
∎ To locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine the products/services availability.
∎ To prepare and process requisitions and prepare purchase orders for supplies and equipment's.
∎ To ascertain the best products, services and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules, quantity and quality.
∎ Close liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments.
∎ Identifying potential suppliers and manufacturers, frequent visit of local markets, building and maintaining good relationships.
∎ Developing effective purchasing strategy for large power generation plant.
∎ Materials/Service requisitions preparation and checking the budget.
∎ To evaluate the bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors.
∎ Comparative statement preparation and getting approval from concern approval authority.
∎ Ensure on time delivery of the goods against purchase order issued as required by end user.
∎ Monthly purchase report preparation.
∎ To prepare various kinds of statement related to procurement as per requirements of the management.
∎ To prepare annual and monthly procurement plan to meet the needs of operation and maintenance department.
∎ To review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
∎ Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
∎ Process payments and invoices.
∎ Proper documentation of purchase orders, requisition, LC, Shipping documents, and contract files and using them as reference for the future.
∎ Responsible for correspondence with Bank, Customs, Port, Freight forwarder and other respective authority for procurement related issues.
∎ Liaise with IPP Cell, BPDB, BOI, CCI&E, Customs, Bank, Freight Forwarder, CNF agent for Import and Export related issues.
∎ Should be comfortable wearing PPE for any work inside the plants.
∎ Follow all kind of company regulations and rules including HSE.
∎ Proactively participate in and contribute to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programs.
∎ Responsible for Import-Cum-Export and Export-Cum-Import permits for returnable tools or equipment's and refurbish able items.
∎ Other than above clauses, follow all instruction which is made by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
∎ Purchase/Procurement, commercial. Individual having Power Plant experience will get preference.
∎ Must be able to respond calmly and think clearly in emergency situations.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, good command in written and spoken English.
