Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure prudent, economic and safe operation of the plant in the assigned shift in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
∎ Startups, running and shutdown of the engines.
∎ Monitor and control all running equipment parameters following prudent operating practice.
∎ Maintain and update station operation records and prepare all required reports on plant operation.
∎ Direct supervise the operations personnel assigned to the shift on day to day activities of the plant.
∎ Planning and scheduling the operations of the generating units in preparing the shift assignment of all personnel.
∎ Assist in conducting performance test, analyzing operational data and develop operational plans that will optimize plant performance and profitable.
∎ Perform diagnostic work on electro-mechanical faults and plant outages and recommend repair of equipment as may be appropriate.
∎ Specially perform on switching switchgear of power plant substation in LV, MV and high voltage system.
∎ Monitor / Supervise to meet the NLDC demand Vs supply (Supervision of Load Dispatch system).
∎ Any other task as assigned by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Having at least 5 to 8 years’ experience in operations of HFO based fired power plant.
∎ Should be courageous, proactive, intelligent and vigilant.
∎ Leadership quality with supervision capability; ability to guide and train subordinate engineers; managerial role with good job planning and deployment skills.
∎ Technical analysis and reporting ability with good computer literacy
