Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Delivery: The core job is to transport goods from the warehouse or store to the customer's address.
∎ Timely and Safe Delivery: Deliverymen must ensure packages arrive on time and in good condition.
∎ Loading and Unloading: They may be responsible for loading packages into their vehicle and unloading them at the customer's location.
∎ Customer Service: Providing a positive and helpful experience for customers is crucial.
∎ Route Following: Adhering to assigned routes and schedules is essential for efficiency.
∎ Traffic Compliance: They must follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
∎ Vehicle Maintenance: Keeping the delivery vehicle in good working order is often part of the job.
∎ Record Keeping: Maintaining records of deliveries and pickups is important.
∎ Payment Collection: Some deliverymen may also be responsible for collecting payments from customers.
∎ Problem Solving: Handling customer complaints and resolving issues that may arise during delivery is part of the job.
