Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in any Engineering/ Diploma
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparation & review of Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and other work procedures as required .
∎ Materials inspection regarding Traceability, Physical condition as per project specification with mill certificate.
∎ Performing material inspection as per project requirement.
∎ Inspection and Testing of WQT welds as per approved Welders Qualification Procedure.
∎ Arrange retests the welder fails to pass the qualification test as per Procedure.
∎ The records are filled during WQT activities and reports are included in the final WQT dossier are as follows:
∎ Welding Surveillance Record
∎ Visual Inspection Report
∎ NDT Reports ( UT, MT, PT as applicable)
∎ Mechanical Test Report ( When applicable )
∎ Welder Qualification Records
∎ Welders' Register
∎ Checking proper alignment, correct dimension & cleaning before fit up and after welding.
∎ Inspection Welding process (GMAW, FCAW, SMAW & Oxy Acetylene Cutting) before, during and after welding.
∎ Inspection all welding consumable.
∎ Welding imperfection by the visual inspection.
∎ Monitor all NDT sequence as per project specification (UT, MPI, PT) & reviewing the NDR reports.
∎ Verifying the dimension of the steel structure/ piping / others as per drawings.
∎ Preparation and submitting the daily report to the management .
∎ Inspecting and reporting of the Contractors work based on contract document and observations and Incoming goods at site.
∎ Documentation control & making reports for final submission.
