Educational Requirements:
∎ HSC in Science
∎ MATS / DMF
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Hospital, Hospital or Diagnostic Centre
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure proper operation of autoclave units prior to use on a daily basis.
∎ Run biological and chemical tests at beginning of every day shift. Records results in appropriate log.
∎ Inspect gas and steam autoclaves.
∎ Process / oversee all contaminated instruments and supplies returned to Central Service.
∎ Use knowledge of sterilization principles to correctly wrap or package items for sterilization.
∎ Process all items appropriately using either ethylene oxide or steam sterilization.
∎ Maintain appropriate spore testing on routine basis and documents results as required.
∎ Process department supply charges, and all other clerical work related to the department.
∎ Assist with training and services for new and long-term employees.
∎ Maintain equipment register board and keep patient equipment usage Kardex up-to-date.
∎ Care for instruments, syringes, needles and special procedure items and is knowledgeable in their usage.
∎ Monitors sterility dates on supplies.
∎ Properly load, operate and clean all sterilizers, gas and steam, and all general equipment.
∎ Perform biological and chemical control tests daily.
∎ Maintain preventative maintenance procedures and control procedure on electrical heating and cooling units.
∎ Receive and deliver surgical supplies and fills requisition requests.
∎ Assist in fixing charge tags on all items requiring same.
∎ Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
∎ Processing all patient charges as related to Central Service chargeable items on a daily basis.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proper knowledge on Sterilization of OT Instruments
∎ Proper knowledge on safety of medical gas management systems
∎ Must have experience to work in Operation Theater (OT)
∎ Excellent communication skills
∎ Excellent problem finding & solving skills
∎ Proven ability to work independently and positive response with team work.
∎ Language skills both in Bangla and English.
