Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering from any reputed University
Experience Requirements:
∎ 10 to 15 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Read and understand any type of design of a project
∎ Study design and ascertain the actual quantity of a project
∎ Must be able to make construction project Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
∎ Regular market survey to acquire knowledge about latest price of all construction material
∎ Keep updated knowledge on equipment and machineries used for construction including price
∎ Keep updated knowledge on shuttering materials and technique used for construction including price
∎ Maintain a data base of current price of all construction material
∎ Regular update on e-GP for Government tenders when required
∎ Prepare Tender documents for any type of tenders
∎ Quarterly monitor and counter check estimated BOQ with actual expenditure and suggest necessary correction
∎ Compare expenditure/cost at the end of any Project with estimated BOQ to determine the over/under expenditure
∎ Maintain a database of all equipment, machineries and shuttering materials of the company
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Age limit may be relaxed for experienced and potential candidate
∎ At least 10-15 years, working experience on civil construction works in reputed company/companies
∎ Should have good ability to study and understand any type of design
∎ Should have good knowledge on material and equipment required at project site
∎ Working knowledge on high rise building, fair face casting and multi basement construction
∎ Proven experience on quality and finishing works of a building.
∎ Minimum working experience in Electro Mechanical work and MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing)
∎ Must have sound technical and good engineering knowledge to solve any problem related to design and quantity
∎ Should be able to read and understand all design and report any violation
∎ Expert knowledge on building products, construction details and BOQ
∎ Must know how to do Rate Analysis for fixing a rate
∎ Good knowledge on e-GP for Government tenders
∎ Must have good knowledge on PWD rate schedule
∎ Be able to prepare tender documents for any type of tenders
∎ Must have good knowledge on current material rate and work rate
∎ Able to negotiate and finalize rate of contractors and prepare work order
∎ Expert knowledge on relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
∎ Knowledge on MS Word, Excel, Power Point and any other Engineering related program
∎ Competent in conflict and crisis management and should have the ability to work under pressure.
