• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Chinese Language from a recognized institution (e.g., Confucius Institute, University of Dhaka, or equivalent).
• Formal Certification in Chinese Language (Minimum HSK Level 4 or equivalent from a recognized institution such as Confucius Institute, University of Dhaka, or any accredited language center) – Mandatory.
• Basic technical training or work experience in ink manufacturing or chemical industry – Required.

• Fluency in Chinese and Bangla, both verbal and written.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in the ink manufacturing or chemical engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of technical terms and concepts in ink production, solvents, emulsions, color matching, drying/curing, viscosity control, etc.
• Ability to clearly explain or translate engineering and chemical process concepts in real-time communication.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, and adaptability to factory environments.
• Familiarity with technical documentation and terminology related to chemical engineering, pigment dispersion, solvent systems, and printing processes.
• Prior experience in cross-cultural communication or translation in an industrial setting will be considered an advantage.
• Strong sense of confidentiality, accuracy, and professional ethics in translating business and technical information.
• Must be physically fit and comfortable working in a factory setting (including standing for long periods and moving between production and lab areas).
• Must be available full-time and willing to work on-site in Narayanganj.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while interpreting highly technical content under time-sensitive conditions.
• Willingness to work during occasional extended hours or weekend shifts, especially during training periods with visiting Chinese experts.
• Strong professional ethics – must not distort, withhold, or modify information while translating.
• Must be a fast learner and capable of quickly grasping technical terminology specific to Irises Ink’s product lines.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Chinese-Bangla translation within chemical or industrial sectors.
• Must be able to work independently and take initiative while ensuring consistent communication between departments.

Irises Ink Private Company Ltd. is a Bangladesh-China joint venture specialized in manufacturing digital textile printing inks and sublimation inks.

This position is based at our ink manufacturing facility in Narayanganj. The selected candidate will be directly responsible for facilitating clear and accurate communication between our Chinese and Bangladeshi teams, including engineers, production staff, quality control personnel, and management. The role requires the ability to translate complex technical terms and industrial concepts related to ink formulation, raw materials, batch processing, and quality testing in both Chinese and Bangla.

The interpreter must be confident working in a factory environment, providing live interpretation on the production floor, during quality control processes, and in technical meetings. This is a full-time, on-site position that demands linguistic precision, technical understanding, and professional responsibility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Translate and interpret technical discussions between Chinese and Bangladeshi engineers and staff, especially related to ink formulation, mixing, production line operations, QA/QC standards, machine calibration, and troubleshooting ensuring ZERO miscommunication.
• Provide clear, accurate, and live interpretation support during training sessions, production meetings, troubleshooting, machinery operation briefings, lab procedures, and chemical handling processes.
• Translate technical documents, pigment dispersion, solvents, emulsification, MSDS sheets, process flow diagrams, SOPs, and reports.
• Support communication across all departments including Production, QA, QC, R&D, and Maintenance.
• Ensure precise usage of engineering and manufacturing terminologies in both Chinese and Bangla.
• Assist in verbal and written communication (emails, meetings, reports) between local staff and Chinese-speaking professionals.
