Job Context:
∎ IHI-SMCC JV, a Joint Venture of two Japanese Multinational Companies for the Construction of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge, Package: WD-2, under Bangladesh Railway Department (BR) and financed by People`s Republic of Bangladesh and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
∎ We are looking for an experienced and motivated procurement team member who will be doing strategic sourcing & procurement.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage supplier selection based on price, quality, support, after sales service, capacity, etc., reliability, credibility.
∎ Contribute in developing procurement plan for major material and selected subcontract packages for tenders and projects.
∎ Conducting supply chain study and analysis on key trades.
∎ Coordinating with the pre-construction team and site operation team in pre & post construction stage.
∎ Compiling and analyzing major material and subcontract costs for further negotiation and recommendation for award of packages
∎ Need to enhance knowledge on future products and alternative products, scheduling and sourcing on time following requirement.
∎ Prepare procurement policy, procedure, modules & manuals.
∎ Sound knowledge in LC, negotiable documents, import documents, duty structure/H.S. Code.
∎ Sound knowledge on RFQ (Request for Quotation), POI (Purchase Order Information)
∎ Managing team member, clearing & forwarding agent, supplier, certification body, production & planning.
∎ Any other task as assigned by the appropriate authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 8 - 10 years' relevant experience with 3 years at supervisory/senior level will be preferred.
∎ Shall have working experience under construction industry/project and knowledge of application of Enterprises Resources Planning.
∎ Good knowledge on construction material and equipment purchase is a must.
∎ Self-motivated, able to work with a team of staff at different levels in a co-operative, pro-active & innovative manner.
∎ Shall be proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic software.
∎ Candidate without above/related experience no need to apply.
Salary: Negotiable
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Over time allowance
∎ Festival bonus: As per company Policy.
∎ Regular work time: 8:00 - 17:00 (Saturday- Thursday).
∎ Food and accommodation provided by company.
