Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels
∎ Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
∎ Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met
∎ Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
∎ Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary
∎ Lead the Finance & Accounting division for all compliances, reporting, etc. with local authorities, management & Board of Directors
∎ Be well-versed with local law & ensure all regulatory obligations are met.
∎ Facilitate statutory & other audit functions.
∎ Prepare Budgets for the company.
∎ Conduct Board Meetings & AGM.
∎ Ensure statutory obligations with foreign inward/outward & ensure all inward/outward remittances are as per local laws.
∎ Tax compliance of the countries within the region.
∎ Ensuring Direct and Indirect monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance.
∎ Experience in Direct & Indirect Tax litigation.
∎ Formulation of transfer pricing strategies in consultation with the consultants.
∎ Transfer pricing litigation of legacy period.
∎ Finalization of accounts as per IFRS for the group.
∎ General Ledger Accounting for these entities.
∎ Preparation of Annual Budget for the entity.
∎ Monthly and Quarterly Closing of these entities.
∎ Ensuring that collection targets are fulfilled.
∎ Manage and liaise with Internal and Statutory Auditor.
∎ Setting up business processes and ensuring adherence to the same.
∎ Working on process improvement with the technical team in HQ.
∎ Ensuring compliance and corporate governance are compiled by all processes.
∎ Ensuring liquidity projected at the month-end is achieved.
∎ Ensuring profitability through effective cost management.
∎ Ensure MIS reporting including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
∎ Monitoring and attending all litigations for and against the Company.
∎ Conducting Board Meetings, AGM, and ensuring compliance with the Companies Act.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 45 to 50 years
∎ A sharp, knowledgeable Operations/Finance professional with over 20 years of experience, with a minimum of 10 years in Container Liner Shipping with Global Organizations as COO/Head of Finance.
∎ The ideal candidate would be well exposed in Finance & Accounting, Regulatory, Legal, Company Law & Compliance areas from a strategic perspective
∎ Should have exposure to working closely with top management for holistic developments & expansion of Organizations, new projects, etc. Ability to think strategically and to provide strategic leadership.
∎ The candidate must have excellent communication skills & networking abilities
∎ Very good Shipping Knowledge - both commercial and operational.
∎ Dynamic go-getter with a very good command of written and spoken English.
∎ Have a well-organized, analytical, and structured business approach.
∎ Excellent leadership quality.
