∎ The Centre-In-Charge has the overall responsibility for managing the `Waste collection and processing centre` which includes: renovation work of the centre, monitoring overall waste collection, sorting, cleaning work, operation and maintenance of the machines, training of the beneficiaries and production of carry bags by the Rohingya women. S/he is an individual, committed to maintaining transparency and accountability in managing relations with the staff members, based on mutual trust and respect. S/he ensures output-based monitoring and lessons learnt that lead to improvement and development of the program at camp levels.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some overtime hours to meet the deadline
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time
∎ ICCO HR, Finance, other related policies are applicable
∎ The position will be field based (at camp) in Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar
∎ Duration of contract till December 2020 with possibilities of extension depending on fund availability and performance
∎ Key contacts:

∎ External: CiCs, ACiC, site-management, donors, participants and counterparts
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility # 1: Supervision and management of waste collection and processing centre
∎ Supervision of the renovation work of the centre with technical support from an external consultant
∎ Proper record keeping of all centre level activities like waste collection, sorting, processing and final products
∎ Provide day-to-day management and support in center operation
∎ Ensure safety and security of the centre along with all the equipments and machines
∎ Organize skills development training for the beneficiaries followed by instrument/ tools support
∎ Staff supervision, management and development of the staff involved in the center operation
∎ Monitor & evaluate the progress and take corrective measures
∎ Ensure effective & efficient use of resources
∎ Ensure timely disbursement of program logistics/ funds to field staff
∎ Create congenial/friendly working environment for all staff members and learning culture
∎ Contribute in training module designing
∎ Provide technical support to staff members through coaching, mentoring, feedback etc
∎ Enhance team bondage and team spirit
∎ Responsibility # 2: Liaison and partnership
∎ Liaison and coordination with relevant line agencies, stakeholders and project participants
∎ Liaise & maintain productive relationships with local authorities, especially with the CICs, ACiCs and site-management and donors
∎ Attend meetings/ events organized externally and represent the project and ICCO properly
∎ Responsibility # 3: Monitoring, documentation and reporting
∎ Prepare and submit monthly report and quarterly report.
∎ Ensure that copies of important communications, documents and reports are filed and stored and circulated appropriately.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 years' work experience in construction work in the camps.
∎ Experience in SME/ women enterprise/ social business/ market-based livelihood interventions
∎ Experience in project management (development or commercial project)
∎ Sound knowledge and strong skills in Performance Management and staff development.
∎ Strong skills in Networking and liaison with local counterparts
∎ Strong reporting skills and knowledge of relevant computer packages
∎ Have written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla
∎ Ability to cope up and mix with multicultural people and multi-tasks
