Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other team members to create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for various mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
∎ Interpret technical specifications, sketches, and engineering drawings to produce high-quality 3D CAD designs that adhere to industry standards and guidelines.
∎ Utilize your expertise in 3D drawing to provide innovative solutions that enhance product functionality and manufacturability.
∎ Participate in design reviews, offering insights and suggestions to improve the efficiency, functionality, and aesthetics of designs.
∎ Maintain an organized library of CAD files and documentation, ensuring version control and accessibility for the team.
∎ Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and design reports.
∎ Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in mechanical design and 3D CAD operations.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other aspects of the project.
∎ Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAD processes and workflows, optimizing efficiency and accuracy.
∎ 3+ years of experience in CAD Drawing.
∎ Proficiency in using industry-standard CAD software for 2D and 3D drawing (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).
∎ Strong understanding of mechanical design/Electrical Design principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and material selection.
∎ Excellent attention to detail and meticulous approach to design and drafting.
∎ Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineers and other team members.
∎ Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
∎ Knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
∎ Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve design-related challenges.
∎ Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
