Job Context:
∎ Hygienic Healthcare is a state-of-the-art medical diagnostic lab and test center located in Maghbazaar Wireless, one of the business hubs of Dhaka. The primary function of the facility is performing checkup tests for individuals travelling abroad for work or study. Our center is equipped with a wide array of modern lab equipment and the facility workspace and IT infrastructure is developed from the ground up in compliance with the requirement guidelines of an internationally accredited and recognized governing body for standards approval. We are currently conducting a recruitment campaign intending to hire young, energetic, motivated, and capable individuals who will enjoy working in a brand new high-tech high functioning facility in the healthcare sector. ∎ Office Location: 206, Green Saatmohol Commercial Complex, 2nd Floor, Maghbazaar Wireless More, Beside Rushmono Specialized Hospital, (Dutch Bangla Bank Building).
∎ Employment Status: Full-time, regular business hours (09:00-18:00 / 9am to 6pm).
∎ Work Policy: Presence is required at the office during regular business hours.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The candidate will be responsible as the Laboratory Services Manager (Chief Technologist) for ensuring smooth regular operation of the laboratory. He/She will supervise clinical laboratory procedures, instrument maintenance, and ensure implementation of quality control programs & will also supervise sample collection procedure and review all tests performed in blood bank. As a specialist he/she should be able to work independently, be able to evaluate test results and exercise certain appropriate initiative in determining additional or follow-up tests.
∎ Lab Experience: In-depth understanding of test protocols and procedures involved in biochemistry, hematology, and immunology. Working experience in Clinical Laboratory workspace and Blood Bank services.
∎ Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills are mandatory to interact effectively with patients, and other healthcare and non-healthcare professionals/staff.
∎ Organizational Skills: Multitasking ability, attention to detail / detail oriented, and prioritization of work in order of importance/deadline in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in common office software such as Microsoft Office Suite and regular healthcare management/equipment software systems.
∎ Healthcare Regulations Awareness: Familiarity with health information privacy laws and other relevant regulations.
∎ Administrative: Spokesperson/Coordinator: Serve as the laboratory spokesperson for the clinic as and when required. Fulfill certain executive roles such as coordinating with contractors and suppliers etc. in a limited capacity.
∎ Administration: Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the laboratory. Including but not limited to inventory record, procurement, control, and management. Ensure and maintain quality assurance protocols activities.
∎ QC (Quality Control) Tests
∎ Supervise routine and special laboratory tests.
∎ Perform QC tests as per procedure and maintain accuracy of appropriate data recording.
∎ Analyze QC data and take corrective measures if results are outside acceptable limits. Assist laboratory co-workers in resolution of similar problems.
∎ Hold patient results until out-of-control test result issues are resolved.
∎ Assist Laboratory workers in resolution of test inconsistencies.
∎ Laboratory Equipment and Instrument Handling, Usage and Maintenance
∎ Observe and perform department preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
∎ Recognize, analyze, and take corrective actions to resolve instruments/ clinical problems. Assist laboratory co- workers in resolution of similar problems.
∎ Reports unresolved instruments / clinical problems to the management.
∎ Assure assimilation of procedures and evaluate troubleshooting techniques.
∎ Staff Training and Skill Development Program
∎ Assist management in establishing training programs and policies that will meet the needs of the clinic as well as the staff.
∎ Propose (to the management), develop, establish, organize, and conduct in-service classes and training programs for laboratory personnel (medical technologists).
∎ Provide in-service training to the laboratory personnel in lab bench procedures, instrument/clinical troubleshooting techniques, and clinical application of test results.
∎ Supervise staff training and skill development of the laboratory staff and ensure a high-performance, high-efficiency attitude and work culture in the lab environment.
∎ Reports, Records, Paperwork and Data Management
∎ Review all lab reports for clerical accuracy and clinical indications.
∎ Perform clerical functions associated with the laboratory.
∎ Prepare and finalize test report. Supervise the preparation of test reports.
∎ Preserve all documents of instruments check list, preventive maintenance, routine problems, and corrective actions taken for appropriate record keeping and filing.
∎ Maintain tally records of work performed for statistical reporting purposes.
∎ Maintain records of all periodic measurement data of laboratory equipment and samples.
∎ Maintain file pertinent to the laboratory area and workspace.
∎ Policy Compliance: Ensure all patient records, and clinic/office procedures are compliant with the national medical healthcare information privacy act regulation and guideline. Observe, supervise, train, and assist management in maintaining laboratory and clinic policies, protocols, procedures, and safety regulation practices.
∎ Business Process Optimization: Stay updated with the latest trends in healthcare administration and implement relevant innovations in lab operations.
∎ Professional Contribution: Contribute to the general laboratory functions and institutional needs.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2-3 years in healthcare administration or in a similar/related environment.
