Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of electrical projects, including new installations, upgrades, and renovations.
∎ Supervise and coordinate the work of electrical technicians and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
∎ Support the Electrical Manager in preparing project scopes, specifications, and technical documentation.
∎ Oversee the routine and preventative maintenance of all electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, generators, and UPS units.
∎ Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, failures, and breakdowns, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
∎ Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical equipment and machinery.
∎ Implement and monitor energy efficiency initiatives to reduce operational costs.
∎ Assist in the training, mentoring, and performance evaluation of electrical technicians.
∎ Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
∎ Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
∎ Ensure strict adherence to all relevant electrical codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, local regulations), and safety procedures.
∎ Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of electrical systems and work areas.
∎ Promote a strong safety culture among the electrical team.
∎ Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
∎ Prepare regular reports on electrical system performance, issues, and project status.
∎ Assist in managing electrical inventory and spare parts.
∎ Liaise effectively with other departments, contractors, and vendors.
∎ Collaborate with the Electrical Manager on strategic planning and operational improvements.
