Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc. Degree in Naval Architect/ Marine Engineering from Public University.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparing detailed plans and drawings of the proposed vessel or structure, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
∎ Designing, building, maintaining, and repairing all kinds of ships and offshore structures.
∎ Ensuring that the design is economical and functional and that the vessel or structure is safe and seaworthy.
∎ Preparing and checking calculations from strength and structural aspects.
∎ Assessing what materials and equipment are needed and planning the construction process.
∎ Obtaining materials and coordinating the construction, launch, and trials of the vessel or structure.
∎ Carrying out assessments and analysis including stability and hydrodynamics.
∎ Ballast calculation of Barges and vessels.
∎ Working with engineers from other disciplines and managing build projects and the resources required to make sure it meets the budget and deadline.
∎ Making sure that the work done meets required international safety and quality standards.
∎ Specializing in one area, such as research and development, design, construction, and repair or consultancy, or in several areas.
∎ Negotiate and agree on project budgets, timescales, and specifications which clients.
∎ Plan and supervise the construction of vessels.
∎ Prepare detailed designs of ships, boats, and other maritime vessels using drawings and specialist computer software.
∎ Sources and purchase components, equipment, and materials.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Practical job experience for a minimum of 02 years in the Marine Engineering / Naval Architect department.
∎ Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Maxsuxt, and SOLIDWORKS. Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
