Position Description:
BAIUST invites applications from dynamic, qualified, and committed individuals for the position of Associate Professor (HRM) in the Department of Business Administration. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, academic leadership, and service to both the university and the broader academic community.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Human Resource Management (HRM) following the approved university curriculum.
Core teaching areas include: Organizational Behavior, Strategic HRM, Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Industrial Relations, Labor Law, HR Analytics, Diversity and Inclusion, International HRM, and Leadership Development.
Deliver engaging, research-informed instruction using modern pedagogical techniques that support diverse learning styles and promote critical thinking.
Mentor students in academic development, supervise final-year research projects, and guide participation in HR case competitions, internships, and career planning.
Conduct high-quality research in HRM and related fields, and publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences nationally and internationally.
Ensure teaching content reflects current HR trends, labor market dynamics, technological advancements, and global best practices.
Provide academic leadership within the department, contribute to faculty development, and support curriculum enhancement and policy formulation.
Actively participate in Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) activities, including program review, self-assessment, and continuous academic improvement.
Contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curricula aligned with international academic and professional standards.
Engage in curriculum development, academic audits, and creation of innovative course content aligned with institutional goals and industry relevance.
Build and maintain partnerships with corporate organizations, HR associations, NGOs, and government agencies to facilitate internships, guest lectures, and employment pathways for students.
Represent the university at national and international HR forums, seminars, conferences, and academic exchange programs.
Participate in interdisciplinary collaborations, community outreach, and HR awareness initiatives that promote ethical practices and workplace equity.
Stay informed about emerging HR issues such as digital HR transformation, remote workforce management, AI in HR, and sustainable HR practices, and integrate these into teaching, research, and advocacy.
Serve on academic and administrative committees and contribute to institutional governance and strategic decision-making.
Undertake any additional duties assigned by the university authority in pursuit of academic excellence.
