Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist project team to plan, design and manage the implementation of WASH measures to address priority public health risks according to the agreed plan, and complimentary to physical sanitation measures, to meet the needs in excreta disposal, wastewater.
∎ Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, including surface water pumps, generators, solar panels, chlorine dosing machines, flow meters, and remote monitoring devices.
∎ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure uninterrupted water supply and fecal sludge transfer operations.
∎ Install, calibrate, and configure mechanical and electrical equipment such as surface water pumps, chlorine dosing machines, flow meters, Solar Pannels etc.
∎ Assist to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime.
∎ Conduct routine inspections to identify potential risks and implement mitigation measures.
∎ Propose solutions or improvements for better performance of the activities.
∎ Follow-up of the progress of WASH activities as per the work plan & supervisor’s guidance by regular visit.
∎ Assist in planning the activities according to the project document.
∎ Assist in Project activities implementation and prepare activity reports.
∎ Assist in validating the relevance of the intervention area, selection of beneficiaries and identification of committed players.
∎ Prepare and submit regular reports on system functionality, maintenance schedules, and technical challenges.
∎ Provide input for monthly, quarterly, and annual project reports.
∎ Assist in preparing Purchase Requisition for the project activities & ensure required materials in the field stock.
∎ Perform any other related duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the project team.
∎ The key purpose of this position is to carry out the duties and responsibilities to ensure effective implementation of WASH interventions maintaining the highest possible level of standards and quality by ensuring necessary support to the project and utilizing resources for implementation. This role involves overseeing the operation and maintenance of key mechanical and electrical systems, including water pumps, generators, solar panels, and dosing machines, to ensure uninterrupted water supply and fecal sludge management. In this circumstance, NGO Forum is looking for a qualified individual to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Improved WASH Services.
