Educational Requirements:
∎ The candidate should hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in Economics with at least two first-class/division/A-grade results throughout their academic career. Additionally, the candidate must have achieved at least one first-class/division/A-grade result in either their Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, along with a minimum of two publications. Furthermore, the candidate should have at least one first-author publication.
∎ The candidate should hold a M.Phil. or an Equivalent Degree in Economics, with at least two First Classes/ Divisions/ A Grade results throughout their academic career, along with a minimum of two publications. Additionally, the candidate should have at least one first-author publication.
∎ The candidate should hold a Master with four or three years Bachelor Degree holder in Economics, with at least three First Classes/ Divisions/ A Grade throughout the academic Career, along with a minimum of three publications. Additionally, the candidate should have at least two first-author publications.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, including preparing and delivering lectures, developing course materials, and assessing student learning.
∎ Conducting research in the field of economics, publishing articles in academic journals, presenting papers at conferences, and participating in other scholarly activities.
∎ Advising and mentoring undergraduate students, helping them develop research skills, providing career guidance, and assisting with job placement.
∎ Serving on departmental and university committees, contributing to the development of academic policies and programs, and participating in faculty governance.
∎ Engaging in community outreach and public service activities, such as giving talks to local organizations, providing expert commentary to the media, and participating in government or non-profit initiatives related to economics.
∎ Keeping up-to-date with advances in the field of economics, attending conferences and workshops, and engaging with other scholars and practitioners in the field.
∎ Participating in the administration and management of the Department of Economics, such as attending faculty meetings, helping to develop and implement departmental policies, and assisting with budget planning and resource allocation.
∎ Collaborating with other faculty members and departments within the university to develop interdisciplinary research and teaching programs that address current issues in economics and related fields.
∎ Assist in the administration of the department, such as student recruitment and retention, budget management, and accreditation-related activities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Minimum of two years experience is required for a Ph.D. holder candidate.
∎ Minimum of three years experience is required for a M.Phil. holder candidate.
∎ Minimum of three years experience is required for a Master degree holder candidate.
∎ For those with experience at the college or research institute level, half of that experience will be considered. College-level experience will be applicable only for relevant honors and master courses. Additionally, experience gained from a research institute should be properly recognized.
