Educational Requirements:
∎ The candidate should have Diploma in Physiotherapy with a minimum CGPA 2.50 or 2nd division/ class or equivalent result in all academic examinations from any recognized institution.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist the Physiotherapist in the implementation of the treatment programme as determined by the Physiotherapist/Physical Medicine Specialist.
∎ Helping patients perform basic physical examination and treatment preparation tasks that they might have difficulty completing.
∎ Lift or slide a patient into position on a table.
∎ Help a patient to undress or remove supportive devices, like braces or slings, to apply therapeutic treatment techniques, such as aquatic, sound, light, electrical stimulation, heat, cold or massage therapies. After treatment, s/he might help a patient to redress and put the supportive devices back on
∎ Educate and train patients by explaining how to change behaviours and home or work routines that exacerbate a condition; or how to use exercise or assistive devices to reduce pain, strengthen the body and improve coordination.
∎ Take notes on patients' vitals, treatment plan progress and setbacks and then provide updates to the physiotherapist for review.
∎ Motivate patients to perform their exercises
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
