∎ Graduate in business or Engineering (Preferred Engineering)
∎ Diploma in SCM/Procurement

∎ 5 to 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to formulate procurement plan for foreign procurement and other signed local procurements to ensure uninterrupted production in the plant.
∎ Act as senior point of contact for indirect materials procurement activities, including owning, maintaining and updating the Procurement Schedules and Status Report.
∎ Verify purchase requisitions and product specification by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.
∎ Get the requisition approved by the relevant person
∎ Visit local market and search for the products as per specification and coordinate with the initiating department to ensure the product matches with the proper specification.
∎ Complete purchase with cash where necessary.
∎ For credit purchase, verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolve shipment errors, if any, with suppliers.
∎ Contact relevant vendors and collect price quotations and samples where necessary
∎ Follow up prices, specifications & delivery dates to determine the best bid price among potential supplies.
∎ Compare and evaluate offers from vendors, negotiate price and terms of delivery of products
∎ Get the Purchase Order (PO) approved by the management and assist in preparing the PO
∎ Hand over the PO to the selected vendor with details terms of purchase
∎ Maintain regular contacts with the supplier to ensure timely delivery of products ordered
∎ Coordinate and maintain effective communication with all concerned functions for delivering the incoming goods on time.
∎ Review quality of purchased products
∎ Ensure the entire procurement process is conducted as per the approved procurement policy of the company.
