Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Engineering
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Setting quality standards for the factory following buyer's requirements and guidance for each departments and processes.
∎ Establish SOPs for production and preparatory processes to get right first time quality from each process. Develop MIS for quality measurement and recording quality.
∎ Monitor the quality of the product through the various stages of production.
∎ Disassemble product parts to inspect them individually
∎ Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications
∎ Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives
∎ Inspect output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality
∎ Check that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
∎ Review blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods
∎ Record inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
∎ Train the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
∎ Propose improvements to the production process
∎ Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements
∎ Keep measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
∎ Collect and compile statistical quality data
∎ Assist in the development of test methods and inspection plans
∎ Determine the causes of product defects and reworks
Additional Requirements:
∎ Candidates with relevant experience from Chipper section, flaker section, dryer section, energy plant, continues press, forming, pre press, sanding section, etc. of Particle Board and MDF industry will be preferred.
