Responsibilities & Context:
Drive category performance by achieving revenue, profit margin, inventory turnover, customer satisfaction, and product quality and ethical standards.
Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives.
Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, preferences, and emerging market opportunities.
Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions regarding product assortment and category performance.
Negotiate with local suppliers and importers to secure favorable commercial terms, competitive pricing, and optimal profit margins.
Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing overstocking and stockouts.
Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional activities to drive sales growth.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and product offerings, and adjust category strategies accordingly.
Prepare and present category performance reports, including sales, profitability, and inventory analysis, to senior management.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Supply Chain, and Merchandising, to ensure smooth category operations.
Identify product gaps and market opportunities, and source suitable suppliers and products to strengthen the category portfolio.
