Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture
Experience Requirements:
∎ 1 to 2 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assess project requirements and research feasibility
∎ Produce detailed designs of ships, boats and other maritime vessels using drawings and specialist computer software
∎ Negotiate and agree on project budgets, timescales, and specifications with clients
∎ Adequate knowledge about rules and regulations of marine classification society, DG shipping and mercantile marine department regarding ship building.
∎ Plan and supervise the construction of vessels
∎ Develop and utilize test procedures including computer modeling and scale models
∎ Interpret and analyze data and test results
∎ Source and purchase components, equipment and materials
∎ Lead teams from a variety of specialties to oversee building and testing prototypes
∎ Adequate knowledge about ship's systems and shipbuilding process.
∎ Ability to work in shipyard conditions and construction sites.
∎ Travel as required to support field, client or supplier.
∎ Any other duties assigned by the Management.

∎ Relevant shipyard/design office work experience is desirable
∎ Keen on thinking creatively
