Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

As an integral member of our esteemed team, the Assistant

Footwear Technician will assume a central role in guiding the

progression of Footwear Lasts and Patterns from the development

phase to production. Reporting directly to the Footwear Engineer,

the incumbent will be tasked with aiding in the creation of footwear

lasts, patterns, and tooling, and overseeing the process from

development through full-size grading for production.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborated with design and development teams to create footwear prototypes and production-ready patterns, incorporating design specifications and technical requirements.
• Conducted full-size grading of patterns to accommodate various foot sizes and ensure consistency in fit across product lines.
• Assisted in the development and modification of lasts, considering factors such as comfort, performance, and aesthetic appeal.
• Conducted fittings and prototype reviews to evaluate the fit, comfort, and performance of footwear samples, adjusting as needed.
• Managed the organization and maintenance of pattern archives and technical documentation, ensuring accessibility and accuracy of design files and records.
• Maintain a good record documentation of last measurements / patterns / tooling / SOPs.
• Review SOPs with factories to ensure they meet our required standard.
• Assisted in development & grading of footwear outsole/midsole and upper molds.
• Ensure factory machinery is meeting required standards during T2-T4 processes to be ready before production.
• Supported the production team in troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Provide a clear handover to the production team during T4 and Pre-production trail.
• Maintained awareness of industry trends, materials, and technologies to inform design and development decisions and drive innovation.
