Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering / Diploma in Shipbuilding & Marine Technology from reputed university with practical experience on Shipbuilding industries.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Must have clear knowledge and understanding but not limited to independently working on all kinds of Drawings and designs related to shipbuilding; and hence to check whether the fabrication and fittings are being done as per the compliance of Class Standard.
∎ Must have thorough understanding with experience including Supervision on installation of Engine and Propulsion System including Steering Gear.
∎ Must have the ability to plan and manage the deployment of workers, monitoring and supervision of Target based Daily Works and Work Progress to achieve the goal towards successful completion of the project ahead of the Project Schedule, preparing of Progress Reports of the different groups of contractors working for different production sides of the Shipyard.
∎ Analyzing the Project Time Line and brain stormed for ideas to improve productivity through active discussions and detail planning before commencement of any task.
∎ Liaison and coordination with Project Director, Project Manager and Contractors to carry out the production works through good relation with workers engaged with the production.
∎ Must have the knowledge and understanding about Quality Control/Quality Assurance of Welding and Fittings including NDT of different fittings, Occupational Health and Safety aspects etc.
∎ Should have comprehensive knowledge on supervision of quality of other kinds of works done like Carpentry, furniture of accommodation, insulation paneling.
∎ Should have comprehensive working knowledge and understanding on Marine Epoxy Paint Scheme for Ship's Underwater and above water Hull and structure including Sand Blasting, painting of internal structure including methodology of surface preparation before applying paints.
∎ Must have comprehensive knowledge on Material Estimation for the construction work.
∎ Should have fair knowledge on Store Keeping related to shipbuilding.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of practical experience in the field of construction and supervision of Hull, Structure, Pipes and Out Fittings of new shipbuilding projects; of which at least 2 years on Class Standard Ships.
∎ Computer Literacy: Excellent in Microsoft Word, Exel Sheet, Auto CAD
∎ Good communication skill and teamwork.
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
