Job Context:
∎ Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP), a regional and inter-governmental organization invites applications from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Administrative Officer (Admin. & HR) in Administration and Finance Division for its Headquarters located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
∎ Position Title : Administrative Officer (Admin & HR)
∎ Status : Fixed Term
∎ Duty Station : Dhaka, Bangladesh
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the direct supervision of the Director General, the incumbent is expected to perform following jobs:
∎ Act as the Head of HR Admin unit.
∎ Review & Implement HR policy;
∎ Responsible for effective management of resources;
∎ Ability to think and act strategically to ensure functional responsibility is properly aligned with CIRDAP policies and strategies;
∎ Effectively manages change, foster a culture of creativity in employees and overcomes resistance to change Delivering Results;
∎ Manages staff recruitment, appointment terms and conditions ;
∎ Coordinates staff performance appraisal ;
∎ Management of Safety Security;
∎ Pinpoints critical information and address issues logically;
∎ Develops operational and team plans having regard to corporate priorities, operational objectives and available resources;
∎ Effectively manages performance of individuals and teams to achieve operational plan targets and objectives
∎ Oversee the legal matters;
∎ Oversee the Procurement;
∎ Oversee the Conference center;
∎ Conduct training need analysis for staffs and organize capacity building programs;
∎ Monitor compliance of Rules and Operational Manual & propose for amendments when required (Business process re-engineering) ;
∎ Serves as the primary point of administrative contact and liaison with other offices, individuals, and institutions on operational and programmatic matters concerning the Office; and
∎ Any other responsibilities assigned by the DG.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ Minimum 5-7 Years' relevant experience. Experience with Development Organization, IGO, Diplomatic Mission, UN is highly desirable.
∎ Competencies:
∎ Demonstrate flexibility in the face of changing organization;
∎ Able to balance up conflicting situation in order to manage work flow;
∎ Ensure the completion of expected output and meet critical deadlines;
∎ Effectively manages the works Space;
∎ Good in listening, oral and writing skills;
∎ A good team player;
∎ Computer skill; and
∎ Exhibit sound judgment and ability to make reasonable decision in absence of direction.
∎ Staff members of CIRDAP are expected to show flexibility in their approach to work and be willing to undertake other tasks that are reasonably allocated to them, but which are not part of their regular job description. Where any task becomes a regular part of an employee's responsibilities, the job description will be changed in consultation with the employee and the management.
