Education:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Engineering, Diploma in Engineering in Industrial Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management
Requirements:
Additional Requirements:
∎ Familiarity with Yard Management Systems (YMS) and planning software. Hands-on experience in container/trailer management (especially at ports or large logistic hubs).
∎ Spatial awareness and strong analytical thinking.
∎ Ability to read technical drawings/layouts.
∎ Strong coordination and communication skills.
∎ Basic knowledge of transportation, storage, and customs regulations.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design or optimize the physical arrangement of the yard for smooth traffic flow and storage efficiency.
∎ Coordinate timing for incoming/outgoing shipments and resource allocation.
∎ Keep track of where items are stored and plan for quick retrieval.
∎ Plan where trucks, trailers, containers, or cargo are positioned.
∎ Liaise with logistics teams, transporters, crane operators, warehouse staff, and security.
∎ Utilize yard management systems (YMS), AutoCAD, or logistics planning tools to simulate and execute yard operations. Ensure layouts and operations follow local safety regulations and efficient workflows.
