Job Context:
∎ The warehouse officer is responsible for the timely and effective planning, and monitoring the receipt, storage, loading and dispatch of goods within IRC warehouse(s) and transit stores in line with IRC operational procedures and principles. The Warehouse Officer will supervise the Warehouse Assistant.
∎ Department: Supply Chain
∎ Line Manager: Senior Operations Manager (SOM) as direct and Senior Supply Chain Coordinator (SSCC) as matrix
∎ Expected Start Date: May 1, 2020
∎ Contract Length: April 30, 2021 (with high possibility of extension subject to availability of funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for proper stocking of commodities and keeping of detailed and accurate stock records according to IRC warehouse procedures
∎ Responsible for on time loading/unloading of commodities and follow-up with other sites on all receipts of transit stocks
∎ Informs SOM/SSCC of any changes of quality and quantity of commodities in stock by following stock disposal methods and reporting
∎ Ensure the Pharmaceutical Inventory Tools (PIT) are updated in real-time, and report to Country Pharmacist if there are any abnormalities
∎ Develop a Max-Min inventory system for commodities in collaboration with Senior Supply Chain Coordinator and Country Pharmacist to avoid sudden stock rapture
∎ Ensure pharmaceuticals, foods, and consumables are utilized before expiry dates and notify the Line manager and country pharmacist if expiry date reaches 6-month deadline
∎ Responsible for keeping stocks separated for each delivery/donor
∎ Responsible for ensuring that physical stock matches the Bin Cards at all times; report immediately to SOM/SSCC if there are any abnormalities and prepare a draft of corrective and preventive action plan
∎ Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly good housekeeping of the warehouse
∎ Timely and accurate reporting on stock movement to SOM and SSCC. Monthly for SCMR, bimonthly 20% physical stock counting and 100% yearly stock counting
∎ Applying correct stock control measures
∎ Maintaining IRC warehouse documentation in an orderly and systematic filing system
∎ Planning future storage capacity and locations within the Warehouse in conjunction with the SOM and SSCC
∎ Maintaining a good relationship with the partner organizations and ensure all the donations are received and dispatched according to IRC warehouse procedures as well as report to finance for Commodity in Kind (CIK) entitlement
∎ Motivating and encouraging teamwork within the Warehouse
∎ Maintaining standards on health and safety, hygiene and security in the Warehouse
∎ Manage warehouse assistants, interns and casual staffs when required
∎ Conduct duties in accordance with IRC Bangladesh program Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and IRC Supply Chain Code of Conduct

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience of working with UN or Non-Governmental Organizations
∎ Minimum 2 years of experience in warehousing (specially in Med log)
∎ Understanding of the warehousing rules and regulations of major international donors including pharmaceutical warehousing
∎ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power point
∎ Excellent interpersonal and team skills
∎ Dedications to humanitarian principles and values
∎ Dedications to and understanding of IRC’s aims, values and principles
∎ Candidates who are familiar with local dialects will get preference

Salary: Negotiable
