Job Context:
∎ The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the timely and effective planning, and monitoring the receipt, storage, loading and dispatch of goods within IRC warehouses and transit stores in line with IRC operational procedures and principles.
∎ Department: Operations
∎ Reporting to: Warehouse Officer

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for proper stocking of commodities according to IRC warehouse procedures.
∎ Informs the Warehouse Officer of any change of quality and quantity of commodities in stock by following stock disposal methods and reporting.
∎ Responsible for keeping detailed and accurate stock records.
∎ Responsible for daily monitoring of temperature and relative humidity in the warehouse premises and filling up the log chart.
∎ Responsible for on time loading/unloading of commodities.
∎ Follow up with the other sites on all receipts of transit stocks.
∎ Daily supervision of the Warehouse casual laborers.
∎ Ensure consumables and pharmaceuticals are utilized before expiry dates.
∎ Ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
∎ Responsible for keeping stocks separate for each delivery/donor.
∎ Responsible for ensuring that physical stock matches the Bin Cards at all times.
∎ Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly good housekeeping of the warehouse.
∎ Timely and correct reporting on stock movement to Warehouse Officer.
∎ Applying accurate stock control measures.
∎ Maintaining IRC warehouse documentation in an orderly and systematic filing system.
∎ Motivating and encouraging teamwork within the Warehouse.
∎ Maintaining standards on health and safety, hygiene and security in the Warehouse.
∎ Conduct duties in accordance with IRC Bangladesh program Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
∎ Conduct duties in accordance with the IRC Supply Chain Code of Conduct.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least one (1) year of experience in warehouse management/ supply chain/ logistics, or other equivalent experience
∎ Experience of working with UN or Non-Governmental Organizations
∎ Minimum 1 year of experience in supply chain with a focus on warehousing
∎ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point
∎ Excellent interpersonal and team skills
∎ Commitment to humanitarian principles and values
∎ Commitment to and understanding of IRC’s aims, values and principles
∎ Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Salary: Tk. 42000 (Monthly)
