Educational Requirements:
∎ S.S.C (Secondary School Certificate) Degree.
∎ Any certified training record on hospital management as ward assistant or ward boy is highly desirable
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organization Name: United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
∎ Making all facilities available to patients under ICU/HDU care.
∎ Aid patients for maintenance of hygiene and related activities.
∎ Providing patients with meals on time.
∎ Following hospital’s rules and operating procedures.
∎ Helping nursing and medical staff when required.
∎ Organizing medicines, logs and reports of patients.
∎ Assist patients in and out of taxis, ambulances or cars.
∎ Lift patients on and off beds, with the assistance of nurses.
∎ Transfer patients’ files and x-rays between departments, specimens to laboratories.
∎ Make sure that an adequate supply of clean clothing and linen is available for the patient and that soiled items are removed and cleaned following IPC protocol
∎ Transport specimens to laboratories.
∎ Deliver and collect linen, rubbish, general waste, specimens and equipment.
∎ Maintain clean and prepare wheelchairs, trolleys and other equipment.
∎ Assist in administrative duties such as photocopying ward forms.
∎ Assist in the maintenance of stocks of linen and non-medical supplies.
∎ Assist in lifting and turning patients, transporting them in wheelchairs, stretches or on movable beds between wards and departments.
∎ Clean rooms such as bathrooms, showers, utility rooms and offices and clean interior windows.
∎ Clean equipment in the pan room such as pan trolleys, buckets, pans, bowls, suction bottles and tubing, commodes, wheelchairs and seats, and rinse trays.
∎ Wash patients' lockers and tables.
∎ Accompany patients, who are ready for discharge, to the central waiting area.
∎ Transport equipment, X-rays, patient records and deceased patients between wards, departments, theatres and mortuary.
∎ Attend emergency cardiac arrest calls, fire and other urgent situations within the hospital grounds and patient restraint.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least six months of working experience as a ward boy in any reputed hospital/clinic
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field and medical emergency department will be added as advantage.
∎ Team-Work oriented, capacity to work independently; personal commitment, efficiency, cultures at all levels.
∎ Languages: Bangla: Advanced
∎ Contract Period : Six months
Salary:
∎ Monthly Salary BDT: 27,000.00 & Hardship Allowance BDT: 4,000.00
