Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure patients care prior to, during and following nuclear medicine procedures.
∎ The utilization of appropriate technique to ensure quality diagnostic images and/or laboratory results.
∎ Observance of adequate radiation safety measures and encouraging the patient and family to observe the same.
∎ The procurement, preparation, quality control, calculation, identification, documentation, administration, disposal, storage, and safe handling of such radiopharmaceuticals.
∎ The collaboration with an authorized user in applying and managing a therapeutic radionuclide treatment.
∎ Clinical Procedures:
∎ Behaving in a professional manner in consideration and observation of patients’ rights and dignity.
∎ Receive patient and provide proper nursing care during nuclear medicine procedures.
∎ Communicate effectively with patient, family and staff, as regards to the procedure to be performed.
∎ Recognize and respond to emergency conditions.
∎ Obtain pertinent patient history and check procedural contradictions.
∎ Prepare patient for procedure.
∎ Select and administer the appropriate radiopharmaceutical by the proper route, as per protocol and physician advice.
∎ Prepare proper instrument, computer and auxiliary equipment and acquire imaging procedures as indicated by protocol.
∎ Evaluate image appearance and perform any additional views as required.
∎ Process and evaluate computer-generated data.
∎ Assist in preparing and performing cardiac monitoring and/or stress testing.
∎ Radio pharmacy:
∎ Elute radionuclide generator; perform and evaluate quality control tests.
∎ Prepare radiopharmaceutical kits, perform quality control and evaluate results, as per protocol.
∎ Documentation as per JCI standard.
∎ He/She should be part of the quality Improvement of the Hospital.

∎ Age 25 to 32 years
