∎ Office Timing: Roster Hour
∎ Reports To: Consultant & Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Samples received from the OP, IP and MHC to be entered in the respective register.
∎ Serial. Number to be generated to all Samples
∎ Batch of samples to be taken to cell counter for testing.
∎ Results to be entered in the register intended for the work done.
∎ Slides are prepared for PBF /any abnormal value.
∎ Stained slides are given to the specialist for his examination and opinion
∎ Body fluids to be examined are entered in the body fluid register.
∎ Critical value is reported whenever required.
∎ Internal and External QC are run
∎ Repeat samples are requested as and when required.
∎ Regular maintenance of departmental machines is done.
∎ Printed reports are checked and submitted to the Specialist.
∎ Assist Consultant during Bone Marrow examination.
∎ Attend lecture classes arranged by the Dept and Hospital authority.
∎ Additional Job Responsibilities:
∎ He /She shall follow the standard precautions for all patients as per hospital protocol for prevention and control of infections. Standard precautions includes but not limited to following
∎ Hand hygiene,
∎ Respiratory hygiene,
∎ Proper use of personal protective equipments (PPE),
∎ Aseptic precautions,
∎ Prevention of accidental inoculation injury, and
∎ Waste segregation.
∎ He /She shall follow the additional precautions for suspected/confirmed patients of certain infectious diseases as per hospital protocol for prevention and control of infections.
∎ He/She is responsible for implementing and maintaining other practices and protocols of PCI as per Hospital PCI policy.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 1-2 years in relevant area
∎ Proper knowledge and idea of how to do chemical analyses of body fluids.
∎ Knowledge of using manual / computer-controlled analyzers, spectrophotometers, colorimeters, flame photometers etc.
∎ Able to make reports.
∎ Must have State Medical Faculty Registration
