∎ Diploma in OT Technician/ HSC
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The anesthesia technician is an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team.
∎ Assists the anesthetist in various settings
∎ Performs duties under the direct supervision of anesthetist and/or Registered Nurse (RN)
∎ Provides support for routine/emergency surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia
∎ Performs first level maintenance on anesthesia equipments
∎ Cleans, sterilizes, disinfects, stocks, orders and maintains the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies
∎ Prepares Intubation trolley & help anesthetist in inducing anesthesia / intubations.
∎ Performs duties under the direct supervision of anesthetist.
∎ To follow the instruction of OT anesthetist
∎ OT technician is performing effectively in the areas where anesthesia is provided,
∎ Actively participates in the development and/or administration of continuing education for the fellow technicians
∎ Performing administrative duties like maintenance of duty rota of the department
∎ Participates in departmental quality and patient safety activities under the guidance of Consultant/Coordinator and Senior Operating theater technicians
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 32 years
