Key responsibilities of a ready-made garment technician include:
Sample Evaluation and Approval: Reviewing and approving samples (development, fitting, and shipment samples) to ensure they meet specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Pattern and Fit Management: Checking and correcting pattern problems, managing the fit and grading process, and ensuring garments are constructed accurately.
Quality Control: Developing and implementing quality control systems, monitoring fabric and trim performance, and conducting quality evaluations of finished garments.
Production Process Optimization: Providing technical support to factories, optimizing production processes, and reducing lead times and costs.
Technical Specifications and Documentation: Creating and maintaining detailed technical specifications, size charts, and fit guidelines.
Communication and Collaboration: Liaising with designers, buyers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
Problem Solving: Investigating customer complaints and returns, identifying root causes of issues, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
