∎ MBBS with Masters’s degree, preferably in Public Health or relevant discipline.

∎ At least 5 years of working experience in MNH-FP field.
∎ Demonstrable experience in working closely with the government agencies, experience with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare strongly preferred.
∎ Capacity to coordinate and collaborate effectively with divisional/ district level MOH&FW representatives.
∎ Sound technical knowledge on MNH-FP services, Bangladesh health service delivery system and better understanding of national health strategies/programs.
∎ Excellent skills in program planning, coordinating, facilitation, representing, good in report writing.
∎ Proficiency in computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
∎ At least 70% of time in the field are essential requirements.

∎ The Technical Specialist-MNH is mainly responsible for ensuring technical standard and quality of Maternal and Newborn Health, and Family Planning (MNH-FP) service in KOICA funded Strengthening the Maternal and Neonatal Health System in Rangpur, Bangladesh Project supported public health facilities. S/he will maintain coordination with district/sub-district level Health and Family Planning Managers of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOH&FW) and Partner NGO District Coordinator for implementation of MNH services as per standard guidelines and protocols. Technical Specialist-MNH will assist in developing/adopting technical guidelines/protocols for the planned MNH-FP services, preparing and implementation of capacity building plan for MOH&FW and project staff, and strengthening system of technical supervision/follow-up and feedback mechanism in coordination with local MOH&FW authorities. The incumbent will work closely with MOH&FW quality assurance team at District level and Health Facility Working Team for ensuring quality of services and participate in regular performance review meetings at district/sub-district level and assist in preparing and follow-up action points. The role holder will also organize joint supervision visits with MOH&FW district/sub-district level technical supervisors for ensuring quality of services in the selected public health facilities.
