Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Supervising and monitoring on a day-to-day basis the implementation of his/her technical activity/activities in the project ensuring compliance to MSF standards, protocols and procedures. Including one or more of the following activities :
∎ o Construction: all technical and scheduling aspects of the electricity installation and rehabilitation activities in the project
∎ o Maintenance: all Biomedical equipment maintenance
∎ o Other technical logistics activities requested
∎ • Managing and organizing the materials and tools needed for his/her activity/activities which includes inventory of stocks, receipt and processing of orders, keeping records of received goods and checking the monthly consumptions of consumable items
∎ • Planning together with the line manager, the required checks and maintenance activities of the set-up/systems of his technical activity/activities
∎ • Ensuring all electrical installations in MSF facilities comply with MSF standards and performing autonomously and ensuring, all necessary complex / advanced electrical installations, maintenance and repairs, according to the supervisor’s instructions. This includes the following tasks :
∎ o Carrying out critical rehabilitation tasks and corrective maintenance interventions and the coordination and execution of required tasks as well as installation of needed electrical equipment as defined by each project. Elaborating the necessary documentation for carrying out energy installations projects (plans, list of materials, etc.)
∎ o Carrying out and updating the electrical installations inventory in MSF missions’ facilities and performing annual maintenance procedures and safety checks across facilities in the project. Executing any needed tests after any repair or maintenance.
∎ o Identifying local technical actors, and organizing their participation in the project (training of technical staff, establishing relations with local companies, contractors and suppliers, quotations, contracts, etc.)
∎ • Making suggestions regarding any repair or maintenance work needed in MSF electrical installations and equipment and assisting logistics department with any urgent support/advice or any relative work needed
∎ • Managing the stock of consumable items related to electrical installation, repairs and maintenance, filling in the stock cards, carrying out physical stock inventories, executing orders necessary for renewing stock, avoiding any shortage
∎ • Responsible for the equipment and tools (including extinguishers), checking they are correctly and safely used, maintaining and renewing them when necessary and keeping the inventory updated.
∎ • Performing and carrying out, all necessary complex / advanced installation, maintenance and repair of MSF biomedical equipment and ensuring that as few items are out of service at any given time. This includes the following tasks :
∎ o Organizing and participating in the installation of biomedical equipment
∎ o Following the schedule and carrying out preventive and curative maintenance works for the equipment according to the MSF and/or manufacturer's protocols, manuals, and recommendations and ensuring that cleaning and simple maintenance are properly carried out by medical staff
∎ o Reporting any issues or problems on biomed equipment to his/her supervisor and proposing solutions (training of staff on a device, operating procedures, etc.). If maintenance work requires further assistance, documentation or additional tools, this shall be requested from and provided by his/her supervisor.
∎ o Participating in organizing user training where required
∎ • Keeping working area clean and tidy.
∎ • Participating in monthly reports according to guidelines and implementing reporting practices and protocols
∎ • Performing delegated tasks according to his her specialty and as specified in his/her job description

Additional Requirements:
∎ Essential two years working experience as an Electrician
∎ Desirable two years experience in other technical field
∎ Diploma as electrical or mechanical technician
∎ Essential Electrician diploma or recognized formal training
