Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg)
∎ MSc in Computer Engineering or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory
∎ BSc in Computer Engineering or equivalent is a must
∎ 2+ years of experience working within an operations or technical support environment. For example, working in server farms, assembling and repairing hardware devices or in a technical support team.
∎ Strong documentation and communication skills in English and Bangla are a must.

Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven technical lead for BuffaloGrid hub commissioning in preparation for deployment and ensuring device dependability in challenging environments. It will be the first technical hire in Bangladesh.
∎ Working Condition - This is a Dhaka-based position, with occasional visits to working areas based on need, under this project
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Technical point of contact in country - key technical liaison between customers and BuffaloGrid for technical issues that may arise in country,
∎ Hub commissioning in preparation for deployment, ensuring device dependability in challenging environments
∎ Work with the Belfast team to define a process to escalate technical issues where appropriate.
∎ 1st line technical support for any technical issue arising and optimise response time in fixing issues
∎ Ensure documentation of each issue for future reference and follow up on updates in the hubs.
∎ Identify opportunities for improvements or efficiencies and carry out assessments for best solutions for the country
∎ Follow up on after sales warranty on solar panels and any device as necessary
∎ Be responsible for training field teams on how to assemble, set-up and work with hubs.
∎ Work with the PM on scheduling hub activations and deployments.
∎ Support PM with technical aspects of activation days and any other tasks that PM needs them to do.
∎ OKR - Successful deployments and effective communication of issues and solutions between Bangladesh and Belfast.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Essential Criteria - Experience with Linux operating system and command line usage.
∎ Strong problem solving skills.
∎ Comfortable with shell scripting, bash preferred.
∎ Experience with IT system configuration and debugging system issues.
∎ Ability to escalate issues when appropriate.
∎ Documentation and archiving skills.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ An organised approach to work and being a good team player.
∎ Desirable - Some familiarity with working with electronics; disassembling and reassembling hardware devices to the level of PC repair or Raspberry Pi modifications.
∎ Experience of soldering and cable preparation is preferred.
∎ Interest or experience in working with IoT devices.
