Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/ Finance/ Management/ Science
∎ Professional certification in Supply Chain/ Logistics Management and/or Emergency Response Management strongly preferred

Job Context:
∎ The Supply Chain Intern will support IRC-BD Supply Chain (SC) team on various tasks related to day to day activities The Intern will assist to the success and delivery of quality of service from the SC team in coordination with SC staff.
∎ IRC defines Supply Chain as those systems and functions necessary to implement programs effectively, inclusive of planning, procurement, logistics, inventory/stock management, property and asset management as well as fleet management.
∎ After the internship program, the intern may be hired for suitable positions based on the requirement of the department, performance of the incumbent and funding availability.
∎ Department: Operations
∎ Work Station: IRC-Bangladesh, Ukhiya Office (with travel to field sites as required)
∎ Line Manager: Supply Chain Manager
∎ Contract Length: 6 Months from the date of joining (anticipated to join ASAP)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist SC team on procurement process
∎ Assist SC team on documentation and filing, such as listing of files, scanning documents, photocopy etc.
∎ Assist Procurement team on market assessment and preparing supplier database
∎ Support SC Manager/ Procurement Manage in tender process by communicating suppliers, collecting documents and product samples
∎ Support Procurement Officer to following up with supplier for materials delivery and coordinate other program team to inform about delivery
∎ Support SC team on distribution of materials and actively involved in monitoring and supervision of daily labors for any service work if required
∎ Support SC team on moving materials from office to warehouse or warehouse to any other location as required
∎ Screen the suppliers as per IRC guidelines in ATCs if required
∎ Assist to facilitate asset tagging and counting process
∎ Assist SC Coordinator to data inputs during Integra roll out
∎ Implement and sustain segregation duties in procurement and other related functions
∎ Assist SC Coordinator to develop and implement of ERP (Integra), BvA and other Supply Chain systems
∎ Support SC Coordinator from time to time for any data validation, compilation, upgradation, report preparation
∎ Collaboratively work with Programs, Finance and Supply Chain staff as per consultation with SC Manger and overall line management of SC Coordinator.
∎ Conduct duties in accordance with IRC Bangladesh Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
∎ Conduct duties in accordance with the IRC Supply Chain Code of Conduct
∎ Support to ensure all staff (international and national) are familiar and comply fully with the IRC Way policies
∎ Support implementation of improvement plans
∎ Provide constructive support to other functions to ensure effective, compliance to policies & procedures

Additional Requirements:
∎ Freshers are encouraged to apply; applicants with of experience in handling humanitarian supply Chain for INGO or any international organizations will be given preference
∎ Strong communication skills
∎ Strong computer and communication equipment skills, including Microsoft Office applications
∎ Conflict resolution skills
∎ Result focus
∎ Problem solving ability
∎ Proficiency in English language is required

Salary: Tk. 15000 - 20000 (Monthly)
