About the Role
IAIC is looking for a motivated, organised, and target-oriented Student Counselor to support students with overseas admissions and visa applications while managing enquiries and sales through social media and other communication channels.
The successful candidate must communicate confidently, follow up consistently, maintain accurate application records, and guide prospective students from their initial enquiry through the application process.
Key Responsibilities
Student counselling: Understand students’ academic backgrounds, study goals, and budgets. Explain suitable study destinations, institutions, programmes, entry requirements, tuition fees, and available scholarship opportunities.
Admissions support: Assess initial eligibility, collect and review application documents, assist with university applications, and coordinate with students and the processing team to meet deadlines.
Visa application support: Assist with document checklists, application preparation, and interview preparation where applicable. Identify missing documents and provide accurate guidance without guaranteeing visa outcomes.
Social media sales: Respond professionally to enquiries from Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. Conduct follow-up calls, arrange counselling appointments, explain IAIC’s services and fees, and convert qualified enquiries into registrations and applications.
Relationship management and reporting: Maintain lead and application records in the CRM or tracking system, update students on progress, coordinate with admissions and marketing colleagues, and submit regular reports on enquiries, follow-ups, registrations, and sales performance.
Experience and Qualifications
A minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience is mandatory, preferably in an overseas education consultancy, student counselling, university admissions, visa processing, or education-related sales.
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Bangla and English, with a professional telephone manner.
Practical experience handling online enquiries, following up with leads, and working towards sales or enrolment targets.
Working knowledge of Facebook Page inbox, Meta Business Suite, WhatsApp Business, email, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
Strong attention to detail, document-handling skills, and the ability to manage multiple student cases while protecting confidential information.
Knowledge of international admission processes and student visa documentation will be an advantage.
