Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Minimum 8-10 years of practical experience with specialization in Biomedical Instrumentation in which 2 years as a Manager or Equivalent post will be considered. Candidate having Hospital experience will get preference.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Responsible for the proper functioning of all medical equipment of hospital for 24x7.
∎ Installs new equipment by establishing, adjusting, calibrating and testing performance.
∎ Drawing up a periodic maintenance & routine servicing schedule for all medical equipment.
∎ Keeping up-to-date service histories on all biomedical equipment.·
∎ Planning for optimal availability of medical equipment, spares & consumables.
∎ Calls for the special equipment service, evaluates service contracts and maintains equipment inventories.
∎ Arranging standby / loaner medical equipment or spares in case of repair delay.
∎ Guide biomedical engineers/Technician while solving major problem.
∎ Training on biomedical equipment by providing equipment operation demonstrations, instructing other healthcare staff in use and care of equipment and answering questions.
∎ Arranging for special training for biomedical engineers/Technician as may be required in case of life saving medical equipment.
∎ Liaising with medical equipment supplier and service provider for getting proper service support.
∎ Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing, and expediting orders, and verifying receipt spares for front line technical support of medical equipment.
∎ Make technical comparison while purchasing new equipment
