Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) / Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A) / Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.Sc in CE)
∎ Diploma in Architecture / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Diploma in Fine Arts if experienced
∎ Any additional Professional Qualification / Certification or Certified Training Course in a related discipline will be preferable
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Create new designs for furniture products and improve old designs
∎ Test product designs using models, prototypes, specialist computer software and computer-aided design (CAD) technology
∎ Establish and track budgets for each new product or program
∎ Liaise with sales, marketing and production departments
∎ Present designs, samples and final work to reporting manager for evaluation
∎ Develop, implement and manage new processes and documents as needed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the product development process
∎ Prepare a cost analysis on the development of a new product
∎ Present new ideas to the reporting manager and develop new product lines
∎ Conduct competitor and market surveys
∎ Make adjustments to a development plan whenever the current idea is not working well
∎ Ensure material consumption efficiency by creating designs that make the best utilization of material specifications
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe illustrator
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Interior Design, Furniture, Furniture Manufacturing
∎ Ability to work under pressure
∎ Ability to meet deadlines
∎ Highly skilled in MS Office and Google Suite
