∎ B. Sc. In Industrial & Production Engineering or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with MBA

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Commercial/ Purchase, engineering purchase

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Purchase technical products and services for industrial operation
∎ Determine the needs of the manufacturing facilities in terms of machinery, spare parts and engineering supplies for efficient and safe operation
∎ Review any engineering changes that impact material or supplier, to adjust stocks accordingly
∎ Do extensive industry research, meet with sellers and compare their products and prices
∎ Evaluate suppliers and negotiate purchase agreements with them
∎ Award contracts to the vendors and continue to administer these throughout the relationship
∎ Maintain optimum inventory of supplies and understand its impact on working capital
∎ Manage supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery & responsiveness and launch improvement programs where required
∎ Find out ways to eliminate waste and variability in the supply chain

Additional Requirements:
∎ Ability to integrate technical knowledge with business acumen
∎ Very detailed knowledge of the equipment, materials and supplies used in a factory and ability to identify companies that sell these
∎ Detail-oriented, curious and self-driven
∎ Commitment to thinking outside of the box to achieve results
∎ Experience in engineering, procurement and operations
∎ Effective verbal and written communication skills
∎ Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements
∎ Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers
∎ Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities
∎ Willingness to travel
