Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a relevant discipline.

• Professional training/certification in Physical Education or Sports will be an added advantage.

• Previous experience as a Sports/PE Teacher in a school or educational institution is preferred.

• Experience in coaching or organizing sports competitions will be an advantage.

• Age At most 35 years

• Strong knowledge of physical education, sports, games, and fitness activities.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively with children of different age groups.

• Strong classroom and activity-management skills.

• Ability to motivate and inspire students.

• Good organizational and event-management skills.

• Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and teamwork.

• Basic knowledge of first aid and sports safety is preferred.

• Successfully organize school sports events and competitions.

• Maintain proper records and reporting of sports-related activities.

1. Job Purpose

The Sports Teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting age-appropriate physical education and sports activities for students. The position aims to promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, leadership, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle among students.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct regular Physical Education (PE) and sports classes according to students’ age and ability.

• Develop and implement annual and monthly sports activity plans.

• Organize indoor and outdoor sports activities, games, drills, and physical fitness sessions.

• Train and coach students in different sports and athletic activities.

• Identify students with potential in sports and provide appropriate guidance and coaching.

• Organize and supervise school-level sports competitions, tournaments, and annual sports events.

• Prepare students for participation in inter-school and other external competitions.

• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safe storage of sports equipment and facilities.

• Maintain records of sports equipment, student participation, performance, and achievements.

• Ensure students follow safety rules and proper sports discipline during all activities.

• Monitor students during sports activities and take necessary precautions to prevent injuries.

• Promote teamwork, fair play, discipline, respect, and positive sportsmanship.

• Coordinate with teachers and school administration regarding sports programs and student participation.

• Communicate with parents/guardians when necessary regarding students’ sports participation and performance.

• Support and participate in school events, assemblies, extracurricular activities, and other institutional programs when required.

• Prepare necessary reports and updates on sports activities and submit them to the concerned authority.

• Perform any other duties related to sports and physical education assigned by the management.
