Job Context:
∎ Department: Residential Campus

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the Supervisor/Sports and Fitness Coordinator and ensure the setup of sports and gym facilities including class arrangements
∎ Conduct inductions, programs, group exercise classes and other sports and fitness provision
∎ Interact with students, staff and others taking sports and exercises, recording interactions, maintaining a welcoming environment and provision of helpful and accurate information, advice and guidance
∎ Assist with the monitoring, checking and recording of standards of equipment, completing all necessary documentation, reporting defects and carrying out basic repairs to kit and equipment
∎ Plan organize and conduct team sports, gym and fitness workshops
∎ Support university sports clubs with the training and coordinate sports matches
∎ Encourage the participation of University community members in sports and fitness activities
∎ Use methodical approach to record activities and monitor usage of facilities
∎ Carry out general administrative duties and maintain health, safety and cleanliness arrangements
∎ Assist with marketing, promotional events and outreach to promote participation in sports and fitness
∎ Take part in projects including exercise referral, development of group exercise programs and associated challenges
∎ Responsible for maintaining professional standards
∎ Perform any other duties appropriate to the level of the post as required by the line manager

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of extensive work experience as a sports and fitness instructor including good at counseling of group and one to one sessions. Training experience in First Aid would be an advantage
∎ Demonstration of knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
∎ Sound knowledge of fitness and sports training, including strength and conditioning anatomy, physiology, and nutrition
∎ Commitment to the encouragement and facilitation of wide participation in sports and fitness activities across the University
∎ Excellent communication skills both in Bengali and English and interpersonal skills as well
∎ Having skills in Basic IT and MS office applications
