∎ NESL now invites applications from competent candidates for the post of Specialist-Government Affairs for employment with our prospective clients working in oil and gas industry.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Building strong working relationship with the Customs and NBR in order to obtain timely approval and release of materials from Customs.
∎ Work as a company representative and pursue customs clearance process to expedite customs clearance on time.
∎ Obtain different permission /licenses/NOC from different Govt organization to achieve business goals for the Business Unit
∎ Organize and coordinate different stakeholder meetings according to Stake Holder Engagement & Issue Management Plan. Prepare and distribute meeting minutes following the meeting.
∎ Work across enterprise and interact with senior executives and their team to achieve desired goals.
∎ Prepare and update stakeholder’s database, Stakeholder engagement and issues management plan related to regulatory challenges for customs clearance, material release and management of SROs.
∎ Ensure to assist other departments and agencies in creating a good environment for teamwork, sharing resources and knowledge.
∎ Ensure PSC related works in Dhaka, Chittagong & Sylhet division undertaken without violating FCPA and Code of Business Conduct.
∎ Develop Stakeholder Engagement Plan for different regulatory challenges that impact Company business in Bangladesh.
∎ Uphold companies’ reputation and safety standards.
∎ Identify and analyze project risk and develop appropriate strategies.
∎ Coordinate with GA & project team and ensure different Government support to safe and reliable operations.
∎ Coordinate, monitor and support SCM, project team & 3rd party vendors for customs clearance and material release challenges.
∎ Work with 3rd party vendor and relevant customs officials and clarify necessary queries for releasing materials under relevant SROs, i.e.SRO 66, SRO 357
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 23 years
∎ 4 years relevant experience, preferably customs clearance for imported materials and working experience with different Government offices including Department of Explosives (DoEx), Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (BAERA).
∎ Knowledge of customs related SROs, use and interpretation of SROs.
∎ Ability to communicate with Customs and NBR officials with confidence.
∎ Excellent organization skills, ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
∎ Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative and be proactive and know when to seek guidance, assistance, etc.
∎ Exceptional care in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
∎ Knowledge on different key stakeholders and ability to prepare Stakeholder Engagement & Issue Management Plan
∎ Identify relevant regulatory challenges and analyze how it may impact on Chevron operations.
∎ Effectively lead discussions and proactively execute meeting agenda with team sprite.
∎ Ability to maintain good relationship with peer group and stakeholders.
∎ Computer skill in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc
∎ Ability to write and speak English fluently.
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Dominant work schedule will be 5 days on/ 2 days off basis. Work Schedule may vary as per Company`s requirement. Yearly two annual allowance/bonus. Cell phone allowance. Group life Insurance coverage. Hospitalization Insurance coverage.
