∎ Proven experience in shipbuilding, with a strong understanding of naval engineering principles.
∎ Project management skills with a track record of successfully leading shipbuilding projects.
∎ In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
∎ Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
∎ Effective communication and interpersonal skills for seamless team collaboration.
∎ Familiarity with relevant software tools and technologies.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design and Planning: Collaborate with naval architects to develop detailed ship designs, ensuring structural integrity, stability, and adherence to specifications.
∎ Materials Management: Select appropriate materials for ship construction, considering factors such as durability, weight, and cost-effectiveness.
∎ Project Management: Lead and manage shipbuilding projects.
∎ Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including welders, electricians, and other specialists, to coordinate and integrate various components into the shipbuilding process.
∎ Problem Solving: Address engineering challenges and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process, ensuring smooth project progression.
∎ Testing and Inspection: Conduct thorough tests and inspections to verify the functionality and safety of completed ships.
∎ Documentation: Maintain detailed records and documentation of the shipbuilding process for reference, analysis, and continuous improvement.
