Job Context:
∎ Petromax LPG Limited, A concern of SHV Energy N.V. is currently looking for Ship Manager
∎ Location: Mongla Plant
∎ Reports To: Head of Logistics & Distribution
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and maintain strong working collaborative relationships with vessel crews.
∎ Develop and maintain the reporting system in place.
∎ Monitor Safety and Prevention Maintenance operations of vessel(s).
∎ Maintain accurate records of all vessel's activities, communications, and technical
∎ dossiers.
∎ Point of contact for all administrative, licensing and technical matters related to the vessels.
∎ Review and Compilation of vessel operating manuals.
∎ Coordinate the year ahead outlook for Maintenance, Regulatory, Class and Third part.
∎ Inspections, for planning and the inclusion in the vessel schedule.
∎ Stay updated with Rules, Regulation, and Industry practices.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10-12 years experience in shipping/ marine line, in which 4 years of experience as Marine Engineer (Cadet, Fourth Engineer, Third Engineer & above positions)
∎ Must have docking experience of Mother Vessel/ Local Ship (at least 1000-ton cargo
∎ capacity)
∎ At least 3 (Three) years working experience in Chemical/Petrochemical/Petroleum product carrier ships
∎ Capable of thinking ahead and anticipating vessel(s) project requirements
∎ Able to implement budgetary controls to achieve cost targets
∎ Technically sound to contribute towards the resolution of marine technical problems and manage crisis
∎ Proficiency in MS office tools, specially in Excel
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skill
∎ Expertise on navigation system
∎ Proper knowledge on Inland Marine Routes
