Education:
∎ Diploma in Automobile in Automobile, Diploma in Mechanical in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering
Requirements:
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the large transport fleet maintenance, building products, FMCG manufacturing industry or similar production environments.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, if necessary, to ensure machine uptime and maintenance.
∎ Able to ride motorcycle, service oriented mindset willing to reach on spot & provide emergency support at challenging situations or breakdowns at different site locations.
∎ Technical Skills:
∎ Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, Experience with troubleshooting and repairing Dump Trucks, Concrete pumps, Mixture Trucks, Boom pumps, Pickup trucks, Wheel loader, excavator and other machineries.
∎ Proficient in using mechanical diagnostic tools and equipment.
∎ Soft Skills:
∎ Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
∎ Strong communication skills to coordinate with various teams and departments.
∎ Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
∎ Maintenance & Repairing:
∎ Oversee the routine and preventive maintenance of all mechanical systems, machines, and equipment.
∎ Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime.
∎ Provide technical guidance and support to machine operators and drivers.
∎ Work closely with the production & Transport team to identify mechanical issues impacting production & Delivery processes.
∎ Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrading of machinery and equipment.
∎ Maintain an inventory of mechanical spare parts and tools required for maintenance tasks.
∎ Coordinate with the procurement department for timely replenishment of spare parts.
∎ Ensure that all mechanical equipment and machinery comply with safety standards and regulations.
∎ Monitor safe work practices and provide safety training to staff as needed. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and machine performance.
∎ Prepare reports on machine breakdowns, maintenance schedules, and technical issues to inform upper management.
∎ Suggest and implement improvements in machinery, processes, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
∎ Participate in root cause analysis for recurring mechanical issues and propose solutions to prevent future breakdowns.
∎ Able to ride motorcycle will be added value.
∎ *This position is based on Ashulia, Dhaka with frequent movement with company motorcycle around Dhaka for emergency breakdowns.
