Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Marine Engineering in Marine Engineering
∎ Skills Required: Bergen engine, MS Office, Service Engineer
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 7 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Bergen engine, Marine or offshore industry
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Attend to lead engine service team on Merchant Marine and Offshore installations of Bergen - Rolls Royce engines up to the Tier IV series , includes Bergen Diesel Engine models K-engine, KV-engine, B-engine, BV-engine and C-engine.
∎ Assist and lead the team to provide service for Bergen Engine repairs and routine maintenance and troubleshooting , with full compliance on Maker's guidelines and specifications
∎ Has capability to provide services on the Bergen gas-fuelled marine diesel engines.
∎ Assist with inspection, installation (incl.engine alignment), repair, upgrading, troubleshooting and overhaul of the Bergen medium speed portfolio diesel engines and auxiliary equipment.
∎ Ability to communicate with agent/ship owner reps/Class/sub-contractor including arrangement of work/entry permit through email and phone.
∎ Proactive in communication and accessibility to customers and Dept. Manager with timely reporting on, job status and technical issues.
∎ Preparation risk assessment and checklists for assigned job scope
∎ Able to prepare a handwritten work done, with data recorded as per format templates and service report with photos, upon completion of job.
∎ Able to prepare a formal investigation report with photographs as per company.
∎ Able to provide formal recommendation and repair proposals on breakdown or failure attendance. And corrective actions as required during work progress.
∎ Generate spare part list required for overhaul and repair.
∎ Prepare a Gannt chart for work schedule as per company format
∎ Responsible in maintaining equipment, tools in good order and maintain good housekeeping at all job locations
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Fluent in English speaking and report writing.
∎ Ability to work well under pressure.
∎ Demonstrate ability to handle work professionally, independently, and efficiently.
∎ Continuous improvement mindset.
∎ Able to travel frequently.
