Job Context:
∎ Hope Foundation for Women and Children, a renowned national NGO based in Cox’s Bazar is providing health care services to the poor and underserved people of Cox’s Bazar District at free of cost and subsidized prices for the last 23 years. Besides, Hope Foundation has been implementing maternal, newborn and family planning services through Government Facilities under an project namely Health and Gender Support Cox’s Bazar (HGS-CXB) Project through 41 health facilities (FWCs and RDs) supported by UNFPA and funded by World Bank. It is also providing the same services through 15 Birth Centers which was established with its own fund. It has a 40 bedded hospital at Dakkhin Mithachari, Ramu and also a 50 bed Hope Field hospital for Women, Camp-4 Ukhiya. Moreover, Hope Foundation also established a 50 bed Hope Isolation Center at Camp-4 Ukhiya from the beginning of pandemic situation in 2020. HOPE Foundation is running Diploma-in-Midwifery course by establishing a Midwifery Institute under the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council.
∎ Hope Foundation for Women and Children is going to hire a Service Consultant who will develop two training modules including presentation slides in Bangla for the health workers at the field level on Health Sector Response to Gender Based Violence (HSR to GBV) under the Health and Gender Support Project in Cox’s Bazar (HGSP-CXB). The service consultant will also act as facilitator of the two Training of Trainers (TOT) session based upon the two training modules.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ a) To Review the relevant project documents and other required documents of the project
∎ b) To work closely with the HGBV Officers, HGBV Coordinator as well as respective Project Manager
∎ c) To undertake field visits to respective facility and discuss with the service providers regarding provided services and the training they received.
∎ d) To discuss with the relevant program/ technical staff of UNFPA/HEU regarding training, services and the training module
∎ e) To provide strategic direction regarding facilitation of training and survivors management in the completion report of the assignment
∎ f) The Service Consultant will develop one training module for two days training and one orientation module for half-day program along with presentation slides
Additional Requirements:
∎ Candidate should have minimum 7 years of working experience in public health programs. Preference will be given to those who have experience in developing training module, training curriculum and facilitation skills. Should also have excellent written and oral communication both in Bangla & English and presentation skills. Candidate who already completed the Clinical Management of Rape (CMR) training will be treated as additional qualification.
∎ Excellent knowledge of the Bangladesh Health System, demonstrated experience and knowledge on Sexual Reproductive Health Right and Gender Based Violence will also be given more preference.
